Dans les zones à faibles émissions mobilité (ZFE-m), la circulation de certains véhicules peut être restreinte afin d’améliorer la qualité de l’air. Au 1er janvier 2025, les restrictions de circulation ont été étendues aux véhicules classés Crit’Air 3 dans les ZFE des métropoles du Grand Paris et de Lyon. Dans ces deux territoires, un peu plus d’une voiture sur quatre du parc automobile des ménages au 1er janvier 2024 est concernée par ces restrictions. Cette part est nettement moins élevée dans les flottes d’entreprises (2 à 3 %). Les véhicules Crit’Air 3 ou plus sont surreprésentés dans le parc automobile des ménages jusqu’au 5e décile de niveau de vie dans la ZFE lyonnaise et jusqu’au 6e décile dans la ZFE parisienne. Ils représentent environ 4 voitures sur 10 du parc automobile des 20 % de ménages les plus modestes.
Which households own Crit'Air 3 or higher-emission cars in the Greater Paris and Lyon metropolitan areas?
In the French low-emission zones (LEZ), the circulation of certain vehicles can be restricted in order to improve air quality. As of January 1, 2025, traffic restrictions have been extended to Crit'Air 3-rated vehicles in the LEZs of Greater Paris and Lyon. In both these areas, slightly more than one in four cars in the household fleet on January 1, 2024 is affected by these restrictions. This proportion is much lower in corporate fleets (2% to 3%). Crit'Air 3 or higher-emission vehicles are over-represented in the household car fleet up to the 5th decile of living standards in the Lyon LEZ, and up to the 6th decile in the Paris LEZ. They account for around 4 out of 10 cars in the fleet owned by the lowest 20% of households.
